Photolosophy is a 100% Emirati home-based venture.
It is the brainchild of 3 Emirati sisters, based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Purchasing images from international stock photo agencies had always been a time-consuming, complicated and expensive process. What happened to using our untapped reserve of local photography talent based right here in the UAE?
And so Photolosophy was born and saw first light in December 2006.
Using the power of the Internet, we provide a place for homegrown talent to shine. One place for fresh and local creativity to be available at fair prices, all at the click of a button. We envision a day where Emirati photographers are the first source of choice, when purchasing photos in the UAE.
At launch, we were supported by the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council's Mubde'a Initiative, which helps Emirati women launch businesses.
